No, and that wouldn't be a new or refreshing take. They should come up with something different like Superman has a long lost black relative family who fled to a different plant during the destruction of Krypton.
Yes, I thought it was weird too that they had no contact at all after she got out. Neither tried to reach out and say hey are you OK, what happened, or sorry about almost killing you. Instead she just shrugs it off by saying sorry about everything, I laughed out load. It's an interesting concept and I mostly enjoyed the film, but thought it could have been much better.
They didn't at all. She seemed to despise him so I'm not sure why they were together.

I've seen it and yes it's worse than the sequel, but both are awful films imo. Just because the prequel is worse, doesn't make the sequel any better in my eyes. One's a smelly turd and the other's a slightly polished turd. Both terrible films that I doubt I'll ever watch again and it's probably been 20 years since I've seen the prequel.
The sequel actually may be more disappointing because of the cast.
I never even mentioned the prequel, was talking about the original and the sequel.
I thought it was awful. In the original they were senseless idiots, hence the humor. In the sequel they were just intentionally cruel, thus not funny. It's a 3/10 for me.
I agree. I absolutely love Happy Gilmore and Dumb & Dumber. I think they are all time great comedies, but they don't need sequels, especially decades later. Dumber & Dumber To was awful so I'm guessing this will be better than that. Imagine if Chris Farley was alive and he made Tommy Boy 2 where he has to save the factory and town again!

I liked Kim's Convenience. I feel like it needed one more season though. Workin' Moms started out good and then each season gets more and more ridiculous. I have a few episodes to go to close it out.

It was meant to be a funny scene, but it was awful and dumb. He destroys the road because of stubbornness? I don't think we are meant to hate the airport guy as he is obviously doing his job. The augers drive through cement with no issue is just so stupid, but with everything else that happened in this film, like no one having a weather app on their phone even though they live in tornado alley or the superpowers of the lead character, who cares at this point.
