Not even remotely one of Clint’s best.
Even The Mule was better.
They were tied 6-6 and suddenly they were unanimous? It made no sense.
1) It won’t do anything. He will just claim he hit a deer in another road as he told his wife. Or he’ll just keep quiet.
2) See above
3) Maybe. But that is not enough.
4) They would have to do a photo array. Not just show his picture. They are not going to remember some random quiet guy that left the bar a year ago. Especially when the defendant and his girlfriend were taking all the attention. They wouldn’t even know which direction he drove off to. The movie established that this was a one time thing
5) He was fine during the trial. It was during deliberations that they might have something. Even then, he would just come off as juror conflicted about a defendant’s guilt, which is perfectly normal.
They wouldn’t be able to prove the case against the main character.
They autoshop papertrail would prove nothing.
The eyewitnesses are not going to remember some random, quiet guy that sat alone in a bar and left a year ago. No one would be able to say he was at that road that night.
They’ll need to get an admission or confession from him. I don’t see that happening.
The ending was stupid. Even if she showed up just to tell him she will continue investigating, it is ridiculous.
Why would you alert a criminal that you are going after him?
They are always asked if they have previously experience with law enforcement in a document they have to fill out.
Technically, there is nothing wrong with a former cop being a juror. But they tend to be excused for being too biased.
She wanted to win the election.
As for the cop. This portrayal of the cop is one of the most unrealistic portrayals of a cop.
In real life, he would have thought the guy was guilty and never have done what he did.
You mean, Clint is racist.
Yup. I just watched it and I agree. This is Eastwood at his racist best. A shame he ended his career that way.
