Update: Nobody on my list died this season... ... That's how I know GRRM isn't writing this shit anymore, lol Loved it. Saw it twice in the theater & once at home showing it to a friend. Team Ned! Almost every other war movie > Dungkirk Don't ya think? Irony. Glad you're enjoying it. It truly is a special show. It gets even better! Man, that is some bullshit indeed. I have a great theater near me, where I saw Hateful 8 and it was glorious, it's an artsy theater that takes care to its films, but also has a big beautiful main theater, which they showed the film in. They are doing the same thing for Dunkirk, but I kinda want to see it in IMAX 70mm, unfortunately the nearest theater showing that is 1 hour 15 minutes away. But now after hearing your story, I feel like a spoiled jackass. :-) Sorry you are getting screwed over by AMC. That sucks, and it doesn't surprise me. They are basically McDonald's. I hope you enjoy the film & have a great time regardless My pleasure! I found this great guide that explains it: https://i0.wp.com/media2.slashfilm.com/slashfilm/wp/wp-content/images/dunkirk-formatguide-700x925.jpg You can bet that Chuck had a will, and the Jimmy wasn't in it. It probably goes to his ex-wife or something. I don't want to jinx it, but the ratings/budget ratio of BCS is much better than Preacher for example, another AMC show, which costs more and gets worse ratings, and yet they are pushing that show. Plus BCS has the added bonus of the prestige of keeping Vince Gilligan working with AMC, which I suspect they want, in case he decides to make 'The Next Big Show' after this, they want it to be with them. Saul does decent ratings & gets amazing reviews, it is a good jewel to have for the AMC brand. I would be shocked if they don't renew it for another season, or even two. Yeah, it's pretty brutal. He was my favorite character on the show by far. From what I heard, the actor signed on to have a huge role in the next several Avatar sequels from James Cameron, so at least he's moving on to big things. It definitely took a huge hit. Season 1 is by far the best. I am glad I watched season 2 & 3 though. Even though it ends on kind of a dud, the series was worth watching overall. Yeah I just mean I don't think his character here fits neatly into that box. I don't think he's a sociopath. Probably Tony. Walter had a tragic ego flaw, that erupted like a geyser. However, all the heinous shit he did, the entirety of Breaking Bad only lasted the final what, 2 years or so of his life. By all accounts up until that point, Walter was a pretty decent guy for most of his life. Tony on the other hand, though he does have some good qualities even if they don't outweigh the bad, was getting up to scumbaggery for pretty much his entire life. I think Cruise's character here was a lot more nuanced & complicated than a simple sociopath. I think he was more 'normal' but was severely traumatized at some point in his past, and then turned off a lot of his emotions. Or at least, he tried to. I also think Cruise was phenomenal in the role. So basically, to your post I say: Feh. Feh I say! "If you brothers had invented the McDonald's franchise, then you would have invented the McDonald's franchise." That's what they want us to think, but this show is rarely so predictable, so I think it's going to end up being more complicated than that. Godfather I & II Apocalypse Now Dracula has some great elements (Gary Oldman & set design) and some truly awful ones (Keanu & the overall plot) I actually quite enjoyed Jack with Robin Williams, which gets laughed off for some reason, and is a deeper movie than it gets credit for Just watched one of Coppola's more recent films Tetro, and it's underwhelming, though not bad.
