I agree with the points made in the review, but I disagree with 3 out of 4 stars. More like 2.0 or 2.5 stars out of 4
Woke movies get a natural advantage with Rotten Tomatoes. Critics fear the backlash if they give a bad review. They'll be labeled racist if they say anything negative about this movie
Good song
Pic?
Not bad looking for a woman her age
It's actually not fake. He shaved his head legit to look balding
I don't think he's directed a bad movie yet though
I saw the previews at the theaters. They say, "from the director of Braveheart, Passion of the Christ, and Apocolypto." I did wonder why the previews don't say Mel Gibson outright
I agree.
One of the big flaws in this movie is the weak supporting cast. Part I had not only Merriman but also 50 Cent, Donnie, Cheddar Bob from 8 Mile. That group was like the crew in Fast & Furious. Even Butler's police team in Part I was good (e.g. the black dude who eats chicken when they interrogate Donnie in the hotel room).
In this one - Butler and Donnie are good, but the rest of the cast is lagging. The rest of the crew consists of cardboard cut-out European tough-guys and the obligatory hot-chick. The mafia guys and the French police officer don't get much to work with. Nobody else besides Butler and O'Shea left an impression
Screw Joy Behar
The tranny probably erased the criticism about “too many males”
I think it’s implied that he used his position to survive there . They would’ve showed him join one of the groups
The tranny made certain scenes obvious. Like the race game. The team that had the tranny would never lose because they weren’t going to kill the tranny so quickly. They even made the tranny look like a star by slapping the fortune-cookie lady and telling the team to walk backwards etc . During the raid, the tranny had to be the one to survive
If you go all the way, it has to be just one winner. The only escape is if more people vote to stop the games.
The 60M figure (as listed in the write-up of your link) includes digital sales. The 33M for Jagged Little Pill refers solely to original album sales. If you counted digital sales, Jagged Little Pill sold 44M out of 60M
As proof, you can count the sales of each album, as listed in that list provided in your link. 33+7+1.9+1.9+1.7+1.3=46.8 .These are the figures for original album sales. She moved 47M original albums; and JLP made up 33M of them
She wouldn’t have $60M in her bank account, or close to it. I don’t think even Donald Trump ever had so much in his bank account. Her net worth might be $60M (though that sounds a bit high, I’d have to look it up). But no way she has $60M of cash

In my opinion if she's making a living and can support herself from a musical career, she's a tremendous success

This is a low standard though ^. It’s like saying every player who makes the major leagues is a tremendous success, from the HOFers like Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter to the benchwarmers like Joe McEwing and Juan Lagares. The benchwarmers can make a living from baseball despite batting .220, but “tremendous success” is excessive when you consider their peers and ambitions

Mark Fidrych in 1976 had one of the greatest, most celebrated, most influential, and most impressive seasons of all-time.
But he did nothing of note afterwards.
You can't cite his 1976 season to claim that there is "Nothing sad about that."
There's still some disappointment when you look at Alanis' career as a whole
isn't Alanis a Canadian citizen anyways
Nobody says she's a failure. The question is simply whether she's a one-album wonder: did she have much success outside that album? And the answer seems to be no.
It's like Ken Griffey Jr in baseball. He was a great player in his first batch of seasons. But then he quickly fell apart. He's still a HOFer and icon based on what he did in his first batch of seasons (just as Alanis still still an icon based on Jagged Little Pill), but just as people question Griffey's overall career value based on his 2nd half, we can question Alanis' overall career value based on her music outsided JLP
