Hopefully, since they can kill off Carl and Abraham and Glenn etc etc, they won't be afraid to get down and dirty here either. But they only have 2 seasons in which to do it... Oh, Elton not 'Elliott", whoops. Okay, yeah well that would also make for a good upcoming storyline. Damn, I thought it was Jadis... Hi @thetraveler - thank you so much for your sleuthing skills, that's the song alright! Sorry for the late reply - I didn't get any email notification that there'd been a reply and this is the first time in weeks I've been back here :-) Since you have nothing of value to add, then why even start typing? Both Paul Hogan and Scott Ryan have 'broad Australian' accents, but in the case of Mr Inbetween, they are all speaking quite naturally, without 'projecting' their voices in the way that actors traditionally did. I think this is becoming more common in TV and movies nowadays (though I can't give you any other examples just off the top of my head) and it makes for a much more believable feeling of realism - but thank f#@% for subtitles, because without them I lose a lot of the dialogue. Good comparison with Vincent & Jules. As an Aussie, I can vouch that the dialogue is 100% real, and those funny moments like Freddie's beef with the amount of toilet paper, just so real that you know they've come from real life. Tbh I've not seen Breaking Bad, but to give you my take on what it's the best since, I'd have to say Wolf Creek - another great Aussie production. <spoiler> It did indeed!</spoiler> I'm an Aussie, and even I need to watch it with subs... But yeah, I love it too - THREE thumbs up :-p Totally agree Nosduj, I can't get enough of this show! Top notch writing, acting and direction, and always leaves you wanting more. This is without a doubt some of the best TV I've ever seen. Would love to see The Magician (2005) which was a prequel of sorts. No, it's not been explained, even in season 1. Thank you! I appreciate it. Ok I must be slow because (spoiler alert!) when I saw the 'crow incident' right in the first few minutes, I didn't realise that someone was hiding up there and wacked her with a hammer. Yes, I spent the entire episode thinking 'what clever writing, the crow flew at her and knocked her off the ladder, she hit her head, died, then the crow pecked at her, making it look like murder, they'll never figure out this one!' And they didn't, which kinda puzzled me... until I came here and finally realised what had really happened. D'oh! Ah ok thanks - I will be watching it tonight! Agreed with the OP. I've just started watching season 1 and keep wondering if she has a speech impediment or something. Actually that is pretty much exactly what they did! I don't know if he was listed in the credits, but I got my inside info on how his name was spelt in the script, and how they did it (actually by using a raised platform, so that the actor playing Geoff's head was standing, with his head poking up through the hole in the table, while the rest of the cast were seated on the platform) from Talking Dead - I highly recommend it, it's a great "after-show" show. Haha yes indeed. Except the character's name is actually speller Geoff! Ah, thanks 72sh! That explains it. I do have problems distinguishing faces in general, but in most movies it's not too much of an issue, since different characters tend to have totally different hair styles and colours, so people like me don't get mixed up :-p But since both those girls were blondes... Yeah, seems to me that it was only The Great State Of Texas that took that crazy decision to rid itself of its chillun. Could be, though, that the reason behind the madness was to discourage people from having children. Think about it: if you knew that any kids you had would stand a chance of being exterminated like rats, it would kind of put you off having any, right? So, if you live in TX, you have not just one way of culling the population (by murdering the kids); but two ways (by discouraging people from having any in the first place)! Suddenly, it doesn't seem like such a crazy idea after all, right? (j/k) From the ep "Reverie"... Chips (admiring Martha's niece and nephew): "Look at all their smiles, Martha!" Martha (worried tone as usual): "I don't know, whenever I see people smiling that much, I always think they're about to have a nervous breakdown..." Chips (looks at Martha and says seriously): "Well you'll never have a nervous breakdown I guess." (Martha almost smiles - for the first/only time in the series!) Chips: "Whoa whoa, don't smile, Martha, you'll have a nervous breakdown!"
