Why didn't he shoot Todd?

After they were done burying the cleaning lady.

Because Jesse was afraid of Todd... trauma?

Because Jesse thought Todd left the gun (perhaps not loaded, like he thought the 911 call was also fake) on purpose, even though Todd seemed to be genuinely afraid of the situation... but Jesse was not 100% sure? If Jesse had pulled the trigger and nothing came out Todd would have beat him worse than ever before.

Perhaps a little of both, he was so f'd up mentally that he couldn't think straight.

Also, do you think Todd did bought the pizza/beers? I don't.

reply

It was impossible for him to shoot and kill Todd.
Reason being, had he shot Todd, it would have ended up in the Breaking Bad story line.
This was a flashback scene.

reply

Jesse knew if he killed Todd and / or escaped, the bikers would kill Brock.

reply

That seemed weak to me, why didn't he shoot him and go and find Brock and get him somewhere safe? Todd's uncles was gone anyways and wouldn't find out about Todd's death for a while.

reply

I think the idea was, he knew this gang had near unlimited resources (many millions of dollars) and would probably stop at nothing to find them. A little kid like Brock suddenly having to live on the run for the rest of his life isn't much of a life at all. Jesse was willing to sacrifice himself to suffer and even die to prevent that.

Yes, very good point. Also, Brock's mother was killed because of Jesse's involvement before. He couldn't bring on more misery on poor little Brock

reply

Yes, he probably knew that Walt would turn up and conveniently take out the entirety of the gang and their resources (all handily located in one room) and he would then be free to strangle Todd without having to worry about what may happen to Brock as a consequence. Because there were definitely no more Nazis running the entire operation than were in that room.

So it was much cleverer to play the waiting game for that particular opportunity to turn up.

reply

Bikers? You mean neo-Nazi SCUM.

reply

You said it! I mean... yeah, pretty much every characters, by the end of this show, are despicable (with the possible exception of Jesse and his two friends). But they are on a whole new level of scum seriously.

reply

SOOO much virtue! 👍🏻👏🏻

that ^

reply

I believe Todd definitely bought the pizza and beers.

reply

He was mentally defeated, and not a natural killer like Todd.

reply

I don't think he saw shooting Todd as a way out and if he did chances are Brock would've been killed as well as him by the rest of the Nazis.

He was already so defeated at that point that the slightest bit of Todd being nice probably made him think he was better off where he was than trying to escape.

reply

I think the main reason is that he was emotionally broken (he actually reminded me of Theon from GOT).

reply

you kinda answered your own question there buddy

reply
