Interesting.
Two more draws. Now 2.5 - 2.5 going into game 6.
Traditionally Game 6 can be a big one in WC matches, so let's see what happens tomorrow...

Plot holes come in various forms, but some of the most common types include continuity errors, character inconsistencies, and logical inconsistencies. Continuity errors involve discrepancies in details...

So, as I was saying, I think the problem is that the definition of plot holes is slightly wider than our expectations. But, in conclusion, continuity errors are indeed a type of plot hole according to sources which are not me.
Yeah, I was the same - Too little to really get or follow it. I think I may have said on another thread but my grandad used to have it on when we were staying over as kids. So I have a familiarity with the theme and strangely even recognised some of the characters, even although I don't really recall watching it!
But yeah, you should check it out if you get the chance. Here in the UK it's on the Channel 4 on demand service, which is free. I guess if you had a VPN you could watch it.
I can only reiterate the quote I gave above:- "...is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot".
That "gap or inconsistency" in the story of the cars journey is certainly there. But I think you have to go with the more nuanced understand that a plot hole, by definition, is slightly broader than we may expect...
I just looked up Wikipedia, which as everyone knows is the foremost authority on everything, and it says:-
In fiction, a plot hole, plothole, or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot.
So it could be argued that within the storyline of the opening credits we are following the journey of three police cars.
"Where will these cars go?" we all excitedly ask! But suddenly there are only two of them... Eh? Where did the third car go?
So I think we can safely conclude that it must considered a plot hole...
Are you saying Donner's intention was that it would just fail and blow up in space?
Just rewatched the start of the Donner cut and again it shows Miss Tessmacher freeing him and he goes after the first missile and pushes it into space. No random failure.
Then after the title credits, Lois and Jimmy are safely in the Daily Planet with no mention of the second missile!
My 10/10 films are:-
Cinema Paradiso
Once Upon A Time In The West
There Will Be Blood
Chariots Of Fire
It's hard to know where Star Wars sits in comparison as I I've watched it so many times as entertainment it's hard to be objective anymore and say where it stacks up next to those juggernauts...

To be fair he kind of decides that anyway. It's 50/50 with getting beat up by Rocky and seeing Zod and co on the news.
Kind of pathetic really - he did last further than reaching that diner without his powers!
I don't get what you mean re the double jeopardy thing still applying in the Donner cut - The non Californian fault missile was heading towards New Jersey and Miss Tessmacher's mom wasn't It?
Are you saying Donner's intention was that it would just fail and blow up in space? But even still, Superman agreed to go after that one first...
