Seriously, you're suppose to be near complete silence to enjoy the tension and atmosphere since majority of the movie is near silent yet you hear people whispering to each other around you, crunching on popcorn, fiddling with a candy bag, shuffling their feet. Talk about ruining movie immersion to the max with the ASMR nightmare.
sharei saw it in a fairly packed theatre yesterday, and i was fairly pleased to see that most of the people behaved very nicely. there was one sad sack with a nagging cough, and somebody off to my left insisted on rattling their popcorn bag very noisily a few times, but otherwise everyone was very nice & quiet. i wanted to give them all a gold star afterward.

Took my mom and our theater was relatively empty. We had the misfortune of bringing Tic-Tacs to munch on. I felt bad for the people in the theater as we took a handful every few minutes. Our theater was so quiet we could hear people in the theater next to us laughing at whatever they were watching.

shareLol I had this thought as well as I watched from home. "This must've been a terrible movie to watch in theatre... all the noises from others around you." Probably a unique experience at least.
