I'm wouldn't necessarily say it was better but it certainly wasn't any worse.
And when I say "worse", that's only comparatively, as I surprisingly found this film to actually be okay - definitely better than Apocalypse - and I've always found the same true of Last Stand, i.e. okay. Not the best, top tier either but probably still pushing slightly above the average quality earlier MCU movies before that enterprise went fully tits up.
