to get an ideas of just how bad DFs box office is - heres how much the previous films made when adjusted to now (domestic/worldwide):

T1: 38/78m in 1984 = 95/195m (budget 6.4m)
T2: 205/521m in 1991 = 390/988m!!!
T3: 150/433m in 2003 = 210/607m
TS: 125/371m in 2009 = 150/477m
TG: 90/440M in 2015 = 97/476m (overseas so big as China went nuts over TG lol)

DF: 61/255m in 2019 = 61/255m

I assume this is only inflation adjusted. If you take into consideration the US population is now much higher than in the 80s it's even bigger of a difference. The international markets are also larger with countries like China and India.
