Confirmed That Wolverine Isn't Wolverine From Any Of The Previous Movies

Just multiverse stuff...

Maybe doesn't really make any odds as Deadpool is more about the humour and fourth wall breaks but kind of a shame we have no tie in to the previous films like the MCU managed to do with Spider-man.

So the events of LOGAN are still intact, right?? So how does WOLVERINE come back then if he's dead?? Multi-verse crap?? 🤔

reply

Wolverine’s clone? Wolverine’s long lost twin? They grew him from an old toenail?

reply

Yes, exactly. Multiverse crap. We have no emotional attachment to this particular character at all, it's just a Wolverine for fun...

reply

Logan took place in the future.

reply

I thought this already know?

reply

Maybe you did but some people were saying the trailer was referencing events in Logan. I didn't see anything specific though, so thought it was more likely this...

reply

I'm glad as I would prefer to let the FoxVerse rest. Those movies were a decent effort, but had a lot of problems (even the "good" ones).

reply

So...he's a clone. Or something.

reply

Wolvie's continuity in the X films is suggestive at best. It really doesn't matter. I still think Orgins is his best film.

reply

God, “Origins” SUCKED! Maybe you meant to say “The Wolverine” which was twice as better.

reply

Didn't you see the last film? In one of the end credit scenes he goes back in time to right after the crappy version of himself and Logan had met. He interacts with Logan in that scene. So it's pretty well Origins Wolverine he's teaming up with in this. It is funnier that way I think as Wolverine being more grouchy makes for good humor.

reply

The post credits scenes where he shoots the actor Ryan Reynolds in the head before he makes Green Lantern? Maybe it's a different Deadpool as well!

reply

Maybe they did like Spider-Man and got all the Wolverine actors together for one film. They could have the old guy from Logan, the new guy from Deadpool, and then Hugh Jackman from all the X-Men films. It might be tough to keep it a secret if all three actors have been on set, but if they learned from No Way Home they might have a better method for keeping it under wraps until the movie is out.

reply

Haha, maybe!

I hear that one of these guys who plays Wolverine is very good at keeping big secrets so who knows...
