Depends on how comfortable the straight guy is with his own sexuality.

Even if a straight guy is comfortable with his own sexuality it doesn't necessarily mean this film will resonate with him though. I guess that's kind of what I'm wondering.

It would resonate with him because it is a coming of age story that just happens to be with two guys. Don't you think that when a gay guy watches a man and a woman fall for each other in a movie that it resonates with them? Therefore, it goes back to whether or not a straight guy is comfortable with himself. It's a universal kind of story where the only difference it that it is two men falling for each other.

I'm a straight man and I liked it, rating it a 7/10.

Straight man, loved it. 9/10.

Reminded me a lot of Blue is the Warmest Color but of course the other sex. In the end it all comes down to being a love story and a beautifully told one at that.

As a straight guy, I love the film. For me sexuality of characters is never a issue, it's always story and character. This film was fantastic. Timothee Chalamet has never been better in anything since.
