So Drawn Out

I get it that FX wants to get every minute of run time that they can out of this series. I am sure that they paid a lot for it to be on.

But, man, it is just SO drawn out! As a fan of movies, I just keep thinking how this could be a two-hour movie and leave it at that.

reply

slow burn, but it's telling a story

reply

Yeah, it reminds me of Stephen King's writing. It's obvious he gets paid by the word.

reply

This show is so boring. I get bored even skipping through it.

reply

And now they are going to draw it out for another season too.

reply

the finale was a real let-down

reply

You've seen it? How? Where? It was supposed to play last Thursday July 21st, but Amazon online keeps repeating: "This episode is included ... blah, blah, blah, ... We will email you when it's available.", but is has not shown up?

reply

it's a show on Hulu,
i don't have Hulu but i grab the EPs from torrents

reply

Oh ... I thought it was only on Amazon. I would have subscribed to Hulu again if I knew it was on there. I enjoy a few Hulu shows, and they have some good movies too. I like to watch "The Good Doctor" and "The Rookie" and "The Conners" ( which just got renewed for a 5th season ). It's out, but Amazon is cheating on the last episode.

At least they had some action with Akinnagbe’s character doing the special forces thing on the multiple assassins trying to capture Angela. Finally got back to suspense CIA stuff to some extent

reply

Yeah it is a slow burner.

reply

Ive seen way worst.
How bout the general in twd. 1 full season plus 6 or so more in another season.
Plenty of other shows that are far more drawn out and far less compelling

reply

seven episodes seem just about right.

reply

Slow storytelling is fine if the story is satisfying but this one shit the bed. That ending was like something out of a soap opera.
