How did a light-skinned Dom and Elsa produce a black-ish boy?

Did I miss something? Vin Diesel, and by extension Dom, is white mixed with something else, but he passes for white. Elsa was played by a Spanish actress, as in Spain, Europe, white. It's been a little while since I saw Fast 8 and 9, but I could've sworn the baby was white-ish back then too. What happened? Did he get a hell of a sun tan or something?

Dom is one hell of a driver, but he's a little slow in the head. Eventually he will connect the dots about Elsa's affair and then he will cry out: "To hell with this family!".
