I will probably go see it tonight just out of curiosity of how terrible it is. I played the games so I'm somewhat interested.

It's not bad at all. I have only heard of the video games and never played them. That may be why I liked it so much. It's a goofy movie, and it got a lot of laughs. Maybe the reason people are hating on it is because they have played the games, I don't have any reference to the game to compare it to, but it was a fun movie.

Right? Haven't played any of the games & I don't know what their tone is or whatever but the trailers screamed Guardians wannabe

And it keeps rising, now at 9%. I had enjoyed the first Borderlands FPS years ago, so I may watch this movie, despite the many negative reviews. In fact, the fact that it is trashed by mainstream critics means that it must be less woke than it should be.
