Walked out the movie half way through it.

It would of been nice to know what it was about before I went in but I guess that's my fault a little. I thought I was going to see a hood movie or something similar to that. But it was hot garbage, It felt like Pee Wee Herman was going to start master bating in the back row soon so I got the heck out of the cinema. If I wanted to watch confused African American kids beat each other off I would of went on a porn site. I'm not bashing gays here I just wanted to see a real movie and that was a joke.

Hi "tampon04;" What is "master bating?" Is that when a slave calls his master an idiot in hopes that the master will whip him? Also I would like to know what your definition of a "real movie" is. I do like your description of "Moonlight;" two African American kids beating each other off...does that circle jerk go on for two hours, or does anything else happen? You should have waited; In the film's second half The Rock comes in and starts blowing up the hood.

You guys are funny as hell. I liked Fences now that was a movie for macho men lol.

"Fences?" Isn't that the movie about Blacks/people of color yelling at each other for two hours? I haven't seen it, but if it is a hit with mainstream audiences than I'm imagining it is a piece of crap...

two under age kids beating each other off

If they beat EACH OTHER off, that means each guy beat off the other guy. But I think only one of them did it (Kevin beat Chiron off, but Chiron didn't beat Kevin off).

That's a lot of beating

So someone learning about who they as a person and trying to deal with that in a society that says it's wrong isn't a real movie? And how are two teen boys exploring their sexuality any different than a teenage heterosexual couple doing the same thing in a movie. It's not like anything was actually shown. I just don't get how people can be so uncomfortable about that when the same thing involving couples of different genders doesn't phase them. And for the record I'm a 37 year old completely heterosexual man.

What the *beep* is a "hood movie"? And why would you assume that's what it's about?

reply

I went back and watched this movie all the way through it was good a little weird but good.

reply

You went back and finished it?

Respect man.
