No more will I watch this branch of the Star Trek mess

I'm not watching any of it anymore they movies and series have been so bad since the original which was made for kids and thought no one would take it seriously.

When the TV censors understood demographics and what Star Trek kicked off, they killed it immediately.

Then to distract viewers from the subversiveness of the real original Star Trek, they make all these crap movies and sequel series that are boring and have no vision at all to reverse the social effect TOS has on the American psyche.

This final series of movies with Chris Pine are the worst godawful garbage of all.

Sadly agree.
IMO ST:Voyager was the best of all STs

The Chris Pine Star Treks were good too imo but they made only 3 inexplicably in like over a decade. I thought they'd have used the same movie actors for a good TV show.

ST:Discovery = total garbage. ST: Picard = more garbage. ST: Lower Decks = Ugh

And the new Strange New Worlds = not sure but hopefully it's not crap but have 0 hopes. What is it with char creation that they're struggling with nowadays? I feel diversity was always a huge part of Star Trek and its strength but it was always subtle and backdrop to the story and plot and show. Now, it's all overdone rubbish to the point where I get a headache watching ST. It's over complex and over lit up and people are all psycho and simple things are overdone and totally agree with almost all you said.

What can you possibly like about the ST-reboots with Chris Pine. They are so ridiculous and over the top, the cartoon series made more sense and had better characters. And what was with destroying Vulcan? That was pure evil.

They're fun action movies. They're not good Star Trek, but they are good action movies. But there is something fun there to enjoy; that's what I like about them, anyway. Red Letter Media summed it up well, and while I don't necessarily agree with the exact chart they laid down, I do enjoy the Motion Picture for its cerebral depth and Star Trek '09 for its crazy action.

I detested Into Darkness, though.

TNG at 1.5x and even 1.75x speed is surprisingly quite good. They talked way too slow and carefully on that show, even during times of crisis on the bridge. Speeding it up makes a big difference.

Agreed. The people making this just don't understand what made the original series so beloved.

And most of the cast doesn't understand why people loved the characters are playing, with the exception of Urban and Pegg.
