MCU next phase.....we need FF4 Reed Richards (George Clooney) and Galactus as the big bad
I really think that the next phase of MCU needs a patriarch figure to replace Tony. They need Reed Richards - George Clooney.

shareIf I show up I will be first in line with a ticket ...
shareMy idea for Fantastic Four was seeing an older team. George Clooney redeeming his superhero self for Batman & Robin as Reed Richards, and also for a little fanfare for those that wanted to see him as Mr Fantastic in the 05 movie. Or maybe David Duchovny. Naomi Watts as Sue Storm. Or Julianne Moore. Josh Duhamel as Johnny Storm. Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Ben Grimm.
Why an older team? Well...
Start the movie in 2007. They go space, get their powers, get stuck there somewhere far far away, or in another dimension, or another universe, wherever. They're there for years and years and years (till whenever the movie comes out, obviously). They're fighting, mastering their powers. Finally they find a way home. They talk about how the world isn't going to understand them. They're going to be huge celebrities, Johnny points out and can't wait for... Only to arrive home to a world full of superheroes, as they've missed it all.
I always wished we saw more Captain America man out of time stories, so this idea sort of developed from that. Not necessarily are we seeing them adjust to the time change so much as they need to adjust to a new world of superpowered beings, which they finally escaped from and where not expecting to be thrust back in to. Where maybe they aren't as special as they felt they were. And being they're older, that makes the fight they end up in so much more challenging as well.

How about this?share
A brilliant scientist and former colleague of Hank Pym named Reed Richards discovers that the Pym's monkeying with the quantum realm is damaging the fabric of the space-time continuum. His own privately funded space program is now retooled last minute to fix the damage before it is too late. But on the mission, even though he and his crew manage to repair the damage, something goes wrong and they are changed into ...
Hey I like that too.
shareGeorge Clooney is too old , he's 58 right now and by the time he even start filming he will be well over 60 , if he sign a multi pictures deal he'll probably be around 70 by the end of it , it's not going to work.
shareThe casting picks of fanboys always make me laugh. They are almost always terrible choices when you take a step back and look at the industry, and where its currently at and where it is going
Sure, Clooney has a great look for Richards, but he's also a big movie star with a big-ass price tag, would be 60 before the movie would come out, and has never shown any interest in doing these kinds of movies after B&R. Especially if the commitment would be for about a decade. Especially if he had little-to-no producing power. Clooney is more of a producer now than anything. He splits his time between producing, directing, writing, and acting. Without even mentioning all the philanthropy and political bullshit. Plus he is a first-time father, I doubt he would devote so much time to the promotional duties required
But hey, why don't we just get Johnny Depp, Robert de Niro, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ewan McGregor, Matt Damon, and Mark Wahlberg while we're at it?
Matt Daemon is already in the MCU.
shareTrue. But I don't really consider those tiny cameos to be canon
Actors like Laura Haddock and Spencer Garrett have appeared as different characters in different movies. And Alfre Woodard, if you consider the Netflix shows a part of the movie canon, appeared in Luke Cage and Civil War as two very different characters
I don't consider the Netflix shows to be part of movie canon anymore. Now that they have been cancelled I don't think they ever will.
shareYes, i don't consider them canon anymore either. Which is probably for the best since Netflix started going full-SJW towards the end there. Just hope Disney doesn't puss out and gives Mature characters like Daredevil and Punisher another chance
shareDaredevil and Punisher were both great. Those are the two that I would have actually liked to see on the big screen.
shareFor sure. I doubt they'll give Punisher a chance, because adding an R-rated MCU title doesn't gel with their current trajectory. They'll do Deadpool, because of his huge mass-appeal, but the previous Punisher movies didn't make enough money, and Disney always plays it safe. With Daredevil we could hope for a hard PG-13 movie. Or at least a Hulk-type role where he cameos in other movie series
shareWell Daredevil would fit well in a Shang-Chi movie.
shareThey need a sliver surfer origin movie.
FF meets Galactus movie.
Hero reunion to fight Galactus movie.
That would be great if they can communicate who and what Galactus is.
I think Clooney is way too old for the role. Have you seen what he looks like lately?
shareNo chance of George Clooney. Personally I like him as an actor but his age is an issue,
But despite what I think he does not fit the Marvel demographic.
Aside from the age, he would be far too expensive, Marvel dont tend to pick from hollywoods top shelf. RDJ, Evans, Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Pratt etc were not A-List back in 2008 when the universe kicked off.
George Clooney is an A-lister? Lol. What was his last big hit? Tomorrowland? Lol. The only film of his to break 100m in the last 10 years is Gravity, and that was 2013.
