James Denton is HORRIBLE!

He is still Mike from Desperate Housewives! Its nearly ruined the show. He has no acting skills whatsoever. He has brought the exact same character Mike from Desperate housewives to this show and its a complete fail!!! He acts the exact same looks exactly the same walks talks everything as Mike! Why did they bring this idiot into this show?? Its a complete misery to watch this guy be Mike! I was really hoping he'd die off in the last season but No here he is again this year too! UGH!!! This sucks so bad!

I agree that they might as well have called his character Mike Delfino because he is exactly the same. But I don't think it ruins the show. So what if it's the same character? Hollywood is full of people who are the same character in every role they play. At least he is American and not Canadian like pretty much everyone else on the cast. I have nothing against Canada mind you. It's just that Middleton is supposed to be somewhere outside of Chicago yet everyone sounds like they're from Canada.

They have to film somewhere, and maybe the kind of town they wanted to create, worked better in Canada. And it probably was easier to get Canadian actors. As a non-Canadian and non-American, the accent sounds no different to me, so it's not like I'm thinking, oh that person sounds Canadian, while that one sounds American. To me they are all one and the same; they are actors and I have not noticed the distinction. I do love the show.

I agree, he's bland, boring, dull... I was completely bored watching the season premiere last night. Hallmark should've kept to the motto "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"... they should've just kept making one new movie per year or they could've waited until Chris Potter was available. I miss the special magical whimsical feel each new movie offered every October. When I watched the first Good Witch back in 2008, I absolutely loved it and looked forward to each new segment the following year... Hallmark ruined it for me..I used to love Hallmark as you can see it's my user name but I think I may have to change it!

Awwww I don't think James Denton is all that bad but yes if only Chris Potter had of been available. I even though Anthony Lemkw (Ryan) last season was a much better actor.

Im on Team John now- Dan Payne is incredibly handsome!!

I like Denton. A TV show is much slower than a movie where all the conflict is cleared up in 2 hours. As a result, the actors aren't given as much to do, and last weeks story jammed in a bunch of characters. I thought the fault lay more in the writing and not the actors.

Anthony Lemke seemed like an odd fit for Cassie, I didn't see any chemistry, I do see chemistry with Denton

kerprice I have to disagree. I think Ryan and Cassie had great chemistry. He's handsome, he loved her, and at first you could see her feelings were developing for him, for more than a friendship, then the writers of course switched it around. Then they made up some idiotic excuse about him going back to the same man who had fired him and from whom he had quit!

Maybe he got another job offer and couldn't commit, but I still feel that an injustice to his character was done. I miss him on the show.

rissole, yes Dan Payne is incredibly handsome and hot, but he's not stable. He's an adventurer. He likes to travel and go different places. Cassie loves her family and she loves Middleton. Sam is better for her, although my top choice would have been Ryan and I'm disappointed that they didn't keep him on the show.

I don't see Mike in this at all, but maybe it's because I can separate an actor from a role. How you see kind, earthy plumber Mike in rude, judgemental doctor Sam is beyond me. I really like the character and love James. Can't wait to see more.

Jeez! Lol, calm down! It's not so horrible as you say! I think he's awesome! I don't care if he's similar to "Mike". This is not a mind bending show. It's good, clean, simple "dramady" with very little complexity. It has a good feel to it in every aspect and to be honest, I'm having a hard time believing anyone would have any complaints. I would think most people would realize this show for what it is and just roll with it or don't watch?

I LOVE the Sam character and I love how Dentin is portraying him.

I love James Denton!

I'm not intending to be disrespectful of the OP, but I really don't have any problem with Denton. I kind of like this new courtship situation for Cassie.

reply

I quite like him, myself.

Hello My name is Mike Delfino and I just moved here from Wisteria Lane. I cannot act like anyone else or play a new role!

I guess you'd have to have been a Desperate Housewives fan to comprehend that he has extremely limited role playing skills.

I also like James Denton.
