There are other Jokers than Ledger's

I really like this show, but I will call them out on trying to milk the *beep* out of Ledger's Joker, from everything Jerome says/does, even to bringing his flunkie from The Dark Knight.

I don't follow ratings, but if they really have dropped, this would be a reason why.

Wayne Enterprises buys and sells companies like Stark Industries

He sounds a lot like Ledger's Joker but he acts more like the Joker from the Arkham games. It's like a mix.

Even though I hate this show I just saw it for about 5 minutes and I can't even tell you how much I agree that this dude is doing a COMPLETE 100% impression of Heath Ledger. It's not even a question. *beep* sad.

It doesn't matter what he does because there will always be someone who doesn't like it, you can't win on the internet

Ledger was the best Joker of all time in the history of Jokers. He changed the way a comic book villain was performed. The actor who plays Jerome does a great job at performing a "Ledger" Joker, has the voice and mannerisms down pat, so I think it'd be worse to go for something different if he can do that so well.

It's done for fan service more than anything else I think. This show fits the tone of The Dark Knight movies a lot more than Snyder's Batman world. Heath Ledger's Joker can walk right into this show and not be out of place. So they're having fun with it and loosely tying in as a precursor to TDK movies.

Okay, he acts somewhat like Heath's Joker, but not exactly. He is a bit more silly and laughs more, like the Mark Hamill Joker from the series and Arkham games. Even if he was acting completely like Ledger's Joker, what's the big problem? People like that Joker (of course, they praise him) so I don't see a problem with him acting like that or not. The Joker, he kills, jokes, and laughs. Those are his basic characteristics. Jerome does those things and is convincing when he does it, so he's a good Joker.

Member a lot of people hated on Ledger because he was selected to be the Joker? Yeah I member that too.

reply

Personally, I think Ledger was a great villain. But I don't think he was a great, or even good Joker.

So far I like Jerome's take. But I'll want to see more.

reply

I'll bet anyone $100 that if the Joker is in the Lego Batman movie some guy is going to compare him to Heath Ledger in some way.

Here's the thing. I can't speak for nobody else but HL's suicide added to the insanity of his Joker character and that will never be topped. It's sort of like Brandon Lee and his version of the Crow. Can't top that either.

Nothing on this series has been anything like or nearly as bad as Ledger's pathetic Joker.

Jack Nicholson is my favorite version of The Joker, but then I loved virtually everything about Tim Burton's Batman. With Ledger, he was the ONLY THING I even remotely liked about The Dark Knight.

reply

I think it may be an age thing, but the friends and family I have that watch it that are over the age of 60 all agree that he's doing a remarkable impression of Jack Nicholson. I'm 45, and when I first saw Heath Ledger's Joker, I thought he was trying to impersonate Nicholson too, but with the humor stripped away.

I just really, really want to see Jerome break down a door with an axe and say, "Heeeeeeere's the Joker!" XD
