Where the black people at?

This movie should have been called Unfriended White People. SMH...
Were they racist or just the casting director?

Maybe you discovered the real reason behind the killings?

reply

Lmfaaaaaooo well all of these people were horrible people so I was okay with the lack of diversity in this instance

reply

OP should realize that all the characters in the movie were white and all were *beep* By not showing any black characters in the movie, the makers of the movie want to point out that no blacks will hang out with these losers.

So, it's the whites who should be offended for portraying them in such an unfavorable light.

reply

Lol exactly. The movie painted white people as horrible people with a false moral compass so the lack of diversity is actually more offensive towards them than anything. Lol I remember when Blaire said some dialogue when Jess and Val (I think are their names) were talking about fighting and Blaire was like "Come on we're not ghetto" ??? that's when I started wondering how diverse the people they hung out were (not to say black people are ghetto, I'm black).

reply

Actually, it's sorta good no black people were in the film. Hollywood seems to have a rule/tradition that every black person in a horror movie must die, usually first or early on. This film didn't further reinforce that tradition, which is good.

They're all busy Catfishing each other.

When theres no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.

reply

Probably in the movie that has barely any white people in it.

reply

Which one is that?

reply

Considering we're talking about a group of like 7 people I don't see it as a problem.

reply

So you don't think 1 in 7 is realistic?

I think a group of 7 white friends is more realistic. You can't have a representative of every race/sexuality/religion/etc. in every movie, especially one that centers around a group of 7 teens.

reply

Do you even know what statistics are. It would be more unlikely that 1 in 7 would be black. Maybe 1 in 13. Cry more.

Touch darkness and darkness touches you back.
