If it's like the first "season" then it will be nothing but red herring "clues" while the husband's life is destroyed and everyone abandons him because they do NOT consider him "innocent until proven guilty."
Of course - this husband is rich and Black - instead of a little nobody lower middle-class painter with a hot wife.
But the new setup IS just all wrong for that original dynamic to play out. So - is it really going to be like so many other generic crime shows? Hubby really did it and thinks he's smart enough to get away with it and the Detective outsmarts him in the end?
Gee, I hope not...
