I don't watch movies where animals die

Call me anything but as soon as the father could have saved is so called friend and the dog but he did not shoot i tured the movie off.

I don't mind stupid people dying but animals i cannot bare, i also left the theatre in I am legend when Smith chocks is dog.

No animal should ever die in movies.

Seems to be a ridiculous reason not to watch a movie. What happens in the real world when you come across some road kill? do you have a fit and try to turn the world off?

I dont like it either but its not a reason for me to stop watching. The dogs death was unnecessary but it happens every day and everywhere in the world that animals die, just like humans.
Here at least, you know its a movie and no animals were killed for real ;)

Humans are animals also

It bummed me out too. I have a soft spot for horses and dogs, so this movie was a bit challenging. I'm the dork who makes sure the "no animals were harmed in the making of this movie" blurb is at the end. Anyways, there was no way in hell I could identify with the a$$h*le father ("father"?) after that. If he was supposed to be the protagonist, major fail. I absolutely hated him and was reminded of his cruelty when the "twist" showed that the other guy was supposedly the "bad" one.

There are some movies that to me are unwatchable because the pets die - I knew what was coming in I Am Legend, and I felt emotionally manipulated by it, so I was angry about how sad it was. There is a short in VHS 2 where the dog doesn't make it and you watch it die - nope nope nope. I like the movie but skip that short every time. Also, when the kitty is bludgeoned to death in The Last Exorcism - again, like the movie, but will fast forward through that entire chapter.

They're coming to get you, Barbara!

My, how precious we are.

yannickmessaoud were you drunk when you typed that post up? As for me I have no problem with animals dying in films as death to not only humans but animals is reality.

reply

The thing is they are still alive in real life, it's just acting.

reply

Why do you bother to watch horror films then. Animals are usually a casualty in most horror films.
