I don't watch movies where animals die

Call me anything but as soon as the father could have saved is so called friend and the dog but he did not shoot i tured the movie off.

I don't mind stupid people dying but animals i cannot bare, i also left the theatre in I am legend when Smith chocks is dog.

No animal should ever die in movies.

Would you have walked out if they shot the little bunny wabbit??? It's a movie. I guess you missed the part where he slapped his daughter then.

Agreed!

I don't like unnecessary violence or cruelty to animals in films, either. But I thought the scene in "I Am Legend" was important, albeit heart-wrenching. The dog was his only friend and companion, the last link to his wife and child. And he is forced to kill it with his bare hands, with tears in his eyes. Very moving.

Wow people are rude. If he doesn't like it he doesn't like it. I hate when I see an animal in a movie, it is almost always destined to die and I hate that. I don't stop because an animal is killed but it does bother me.

Those harassing him about the horse, you clearly don't get it. I'm sure he didn't like the horse part either but it's different.

Shame on all you bullies. It's sad when people go out of their way to make someone feel bad. Try to make this world better, it has enough hate in it. If you don't consider yourself a bad person you'll watch what you say in the future. I hope you do.

He said:

I agree people can be pretty harsh, but how is it different when the horse died? He just said that he can't watch movies where any animal dies, without qualification. So a fair criticism would be that he continued watching the movie, despite his one cardinal rule being broken. He could obviously explain it, but until he does, turning off the movie after the second animal died and seemingly ignoring the first animal being killed is hypocritical at best.

Yep, thats exacly when I turned it off, tooX

The only sad part about the dog dying is that he was probably the best actor in this movie.

I don't completely agree with you, but it is heart wrenching when an animal dies in a film. For future reference, there is a website that tells if animals die in a film, so people can check before viewing. www.doesthedogdie.com
