ive had 4 concussions in two years of playing soccer and its not even pro level! also heading the ball everyday can cause sub concussive impact on the head.. its forced me to retire permanently as the effects are devastating.. im about 70% recovered but it will take me months and maybe years to fully heal from the effects..
Is heading the ball potentially dangerous? Absolutely.
But: the point of the game of soccer is to score goals.
The point of the game of football (American football, that is) is no lsyonger to score touchdowns. The goal is to cause injury to other players. Violence isn't a risk you run, it's the whole point of the activity.

Get a hold of yourself. You are deluded if that is what you think. You have facts to back this up? Because even the prideful smack talk revolves around "we destroyed you guys", going by score, blowouts. Trying to win each game.
If people want to see peopel get hurt, they watch MMA. Your point of view is all deluded on this.
You prove to me that you don't know much football fans, or the players, or even the goals and things they think about when playing. As a person who has played back yard football, and known other high school players, even state championship ones (thought they had a history of NFL/college until drug issues) - I can tell you this: All your assumptions are baseless.
That isn't what the NFL is about. No one wants people in AF to get hurt or injured.
If you can say that same thing about football, not being about scoring and just trying to injure, then I can say the same thing about soccer/fĂștball only being about injuries. Because we would both have the same thing backing us up (nothing but BS).
And for that reason, it should be banned.
Using what you just said, and from my argument above, I think for this reason a class in argumentative logic should be mandatory to all citizens. Logic specifically.
And no, it shouldn't be banned any more than any dangerous activity should that can be done by choice. Lets say, sky diving.

Anyway, if the NFL didnt want players injured they'd be playing flag football. Some people watch AF for the same reason some people watch auto racing, they want to see racers crash and burn. Youre welcomed to think otherwise but what you think doesnt change reality. Would you be surprised to know that some people join the military cause it will allow them to kill without the consequences?
I dont care if AF continues to exist, im not the one getting smashed playing it. As long as people are aware of the dangers playing it, i dont effin care. I just think its laughable and naive that you think nobody wants to see injured players in AF. They replay big hits, injuries and touchdowns alike in games highlights on sportcentre.
The argument about which sport is more manly is sad really and each sport requires specific skills, to be a top soccer player you need to be a great athlete, to be a top football or American Football player you also have to be a great athlete, each sport requires that like it or not, I don't like basketball and that doesn't mean that the guys playing arent great athletes.
Also one person can respect both sports, American football and football. Im from Mexico and both sports are really popular, you dont need to like just one, both are great.
Tegis i played professionaly soccer, and concussion was not my main worrie,as soccer player my main concern was without no doubt heart attack, soocer is the only sport were your heart beat goes from 80 to 200 in seconds and you keep it that way for longs periods of time, every year are players that die on the pitch and not counting the ones that die at home etc with hearth att, someday someone will realize that soccer is not healty for your
Sounds like you're a *beep* soccer player. You should be heading the ball and not other opponents. If you're going into dangerous situations just to try to get your head on the ball you probably aren't very smart. Be more cautious and then soccer isn't anywhere close to as dangerous as football.
