OP is right, and wokeheads can't handle it.

And you people get offended when you get called racist...

I thought your kind didn't see race 🤔

reply

I see race. Don't speak of my kind thanks.

reply

I can see, white supremacist.

Argentines are considered some of the most racist in the world. They did take delight hiding Hitler and his henchmen after WWII.

reply

Not really

Seemed more like a fashion show than a movie.

"Edit: - only 2% of the population of the UK are black. Imagine how low it would have been in the 1970s? Imagine how many would have been employed as police officers? Yes, this movie was way off the mark of "historical representation" which is more important than box ticking."

How historically accurate was the parachute skirt?

Nothing about this film is meant to be accurate with anything, even its source material. If this was made to be a dramatic period film set in 1970s London, I think I'd have to agree, it would lessen the film (by how much would be a matter of debate). This movie isn't meant to be taken that seriously; It's a wacky heist movie for kids and families.

Without checking any facts, I believe you're absolutely correct that there was diversity in the film to a degree of historical inaccuracy. It's probably wildly inaccurate and I'm sure the number of black cops back then was either zero or close to.

The diversity inserted into the film is so that a diverse group of families can see themselves represented in the movie. I don't understand the outrage over that. I'd genuinely like to understand.

Because it's distracting and unnecessary. If you can't sit through a movie because it's about "a bunch of white people" you are the problem.

reply

Not really, considering it is set in London in the '60s. Your comment only applies when comparing the movie and the cartoon.
