I always laugh when I see the opening credits, the shot of Kidman from the profile. I can just imagine her thought process: "Make me look powerful and in deep thoughts, but don't miss my pointy nose and my pouty lips, I paid good money for them."
Wagner's character is, as you say, the most realistic, but, again - her face. Can you imagine a woman like that, in her line of work, first deciding to, then going through the amount of very obvious surgeries? The new girl looks like Lady Gaga, but, eventually, they all end up looking the same.
Unlike all the rest, he's not American, and, unlike Nanjiani, he's been into sports since he was a kid.
I generally like the show, but the temper tantrums are a bit too much. Add the plastique faces to that and it really ruins the show. I honestly can't buy any of the female characters because of their faces, from Kidman, Saldana, Wagner, De Oliveira, to the new addition - Rodriguez.
I saw the first episode. Has its bugs, but a good premise and I like the cast.
Purple People Eater, The Wizard, anything with Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, Think Big, Evil Toons, Beastmaster 1 and 2, The First Power, The Barbarians, Suburban Commando...
From today's perspective, probably. I haven't seen it in maybe 25 years. Even then, it was not first grade, but 90s TV was a different beast. It had that cheesy "something"
Actually, if you knew anything about karate, you'd know that it is the first MMA. It is not the shadow of itself you see in competitions today. It had punches, kicks, throws, locks, grappling. The version you see today was made for the kids in the Japanese school system. Unfortunately, WW2 came and all the masters died, so the kids' version was all that was left.
MMA and BJJ are suffering the same faith karate did, being watered down to get more people training.
Bill Wallace (in this movie), Michael Jai White, Dolph Lundgren...
In the past 20 years, millions of people all over the world have seen it on stage
Tell that to Emmanuel Macron
