If you liked this, here's a list of similar horror films

So, Horror is my favorite genre of film. I've gotten to the point where if you name me a horror movie, I've seen it. The good, the bad, the in between. Last Shift was the best surprise of a horror film I could have asked for. It's not my favorite horror, but it's definitely top 10 for me. I've noticed that this film, like many other gems, has barely any exposure and where it's had exposure, it has not received great reviews. Although, I've noticed that many of the people who liked this movie didn't just "sort-of like it," they loved it like I did. So for those who really enjoyed this movie, I have a list of other films you may like. I'm doing this because the Horror genre is not doing great right now and I want to bring to light the horror movies that: 1.) are innovative, 2.) produce scares mainly by the proper use of atmosphere, tension, dread, etc and NOT mainly by the use of cheap jump scares, and 3.) have kept me from giving up hope on the horror genre in hopes that others won't either.

Thanks - appreciate the list!
Been digging into the horror genre over the last couple of weeks and couldn't find any good ones, except for 'Last Shift'.

"Goodnight Mommy"
"Oculus"
"Creep"
"The Orphanage"
"The Babadook"

All of these are very good (or excellent) films I would rate at 8/10 (or 7.5 minimum). "Creep" in particular is an overlooked gem that really (I mean *really*) lives up to its title.

"Starry Eyes"
"Hush"
"The Den"
"The Nightmare"
"The Descent"
"They Look Like People"
"Absentia"
"The Canal"
"The Taking of Deborah Logan"

Perfectly solid horror films that all deliver chills and suspense to some degree. I rate these at 6.5-7/10.

The rest I either haven't seen ("Insidious," "The Loved Ones," etc.) or considered "meh" ("Kristy," "Contracted").

Thought Babadook was awful.

Not one single scare / fright.

For me, it was one of the few movies I've seen in the last year or two, that seriously creeped me out. Opinions are a funny thing. 
