I agree with everyone who think this movie sucked.
The plot: they killed his litlle puppy that he got from hes dead wife, i like animals but kill like 50 people for a puppy(and his car) is ridiculous even if they are evil gangstas.

it made me smile when he gets a new dog in the end, because it was so stupid.

I'll take style over substance in an action movie any day of the week.
if someone goes to your house to kill your dog and mess with your car to gain nothing you are a victim.
that's not the end of it and they even made it clear in the story that he was a target.
too many REAL people in life sit around and try to ignore that stuff and yell at the guy trying to complain but they are going to get it later. maybe they delay the punishment but a hitman espeically in that situation and not sensing personal danger is out of his mind. anyone would be but especially a hitman.k
i was just posting on the married with children board thinking of 90s or 80s vs today. it wasn't perfect but today these underground domestic terrorist attacks to overthrow the government are discussed relatively openly and in the manner that you would have to be insane just not to go along... but as part of the culture, they don't even try to hide it anymore and that's got to change...
but i swear if people could just understand that if they are targeted and go along with it they will get it later and let the people that want to deal with it today deal with it today it would be a better america.

Right, because the movie was about John Wick killing people over a dog....
He was avenging the memory of his dead wife (which is what the dog represented).... Jesus, did you even watch this movie? She left him the dog as something to remember HER by.
And frankly, even if it was just his pet dog with no sentimental value, if some as***les came into my house, hit me over the head and killed my dog - they had better relocate themselves to a warm climate somewhere very far away from me (let alone the fact that John Wick is a professional hitman).
Why cant people just enjoy a film for what it is anymore. It's a PERFECT action flick. narrative, timing, action sequences and dialogue all perfect for the genre. If you dont like action films then state that, just dont talk bollocks

shareYou failed because you expected this movie to have substance. This is a pure action movie, and as far as those go, it's way better than your Expendables or anything with Michael Bay's name on it. If you enjoyed silly action movies like Shoot em Up, Hardcore Henry, and Smokin Aces then this is the right pick for you. If you're looking for Citizen Cane, you are foolish and need to research your movies better.
I rated it an 8 because the movie knew what it was, and didn't try to be more than that.
You need to take issue with Rotten Tomato as well then considering it's 85% on there vs IMDB's 72%... or you know, you're complaining about the movie because you don't like this genre...
shareI thought it was more of 6 or 6 and a half tops. I have higher expectations for anything over 7. The plot was total nonsense.
