It seemed odd to me that they all name dropped another movie, I honestly thought they were fake reviews trying to get some buzz off the back of another release... but they were prophets. Longlegs got the glory but Oddity is the better movie.
I'm guessing they all compared them because they came out around the same time and Longlegs was all that horror fans were talking about for a few weeks.
Worth remembering Oddity is an indie Irish movie. It's not quite the production that Longlegs was, I agree Longlegs has it's moments and I could see why some might prefer it as it's much more cinematic whilst Oddity is very confined but when it comes to horror I think Oddity did better.
I was very impressed with Oddity (it helps that it came out of the blue and is a cheap Irish movie, it exceeded the expectations one would have) but I agree it probably doesn't have much rewatch value.
Never heard of Strange Darling... I'll keep an eye on it.
Oddity was more tightly constructed, I think, so I give the nod to Oddity as the best overall film among the three.
But yeah, if you see Strange Darling let me know your thoughts. I enjoyed it. It's one of those films you can't say anything about without giving something away so I'll stop there.
