Thank god Rod Serling is not alive to witness CBS take a dump on his legacy.

Seeing how Get Out and US are above average movies i actually had some hope for this third reboot.

Unfortunatly it's even worse then the first and second reboots from the 80's and 00's.
Bad acting, poorly written dialogue, pacing issues, uninspired plots/twists, a lack of any mood and a unconsistent tone complete with a bland musical score.

I would rather watch "The Masks" from the original Twilight Zone for the tenth time, then spend another 5 minutes with this amateurish production.

I don't enjoy it either.. and it's not even the PC content as much as it is lack of concept.

Also, the opening and closing narration does not give me the chills of the original B&W serling version.. :(
I feel like these episodes are meant to be a parody ..?!

reply

Agreed there aren't any ironic twists or spooky moments and the narrator doesn't have any charisma.

I guess the CBS network heads had a meeting and said "we've got to sell our all access by going back to our roots, and this means another Twilight Zone for the modern age". All the execs went "harump, harump, harump, get Jordan Peele".

reply

"HEY: I didn't get a "harump" outta that guy!"

reply

Harump, harump!
You better watch your ass.

Why are you so surprised? One only has to look at the puke shows CBS runs on it's main network to know the mindset of the people making "creative" decisions for this network are a bunch of greedy scum. It was confirmed when CBS launched it's streaming service with another POS, the reboot of Star Trek.

Aside from NFL games, and Colbert, I avoid anything else from CBS like the plague.
