The prequels haven't been redeemed

I actually liked TROS.
Sorry but that's how I see it.

Hooya!

reply

Have they really though?

They retain the magic, but the movies themselves are kinda subpar.

reply

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?

reply

It's not a story the Jedi would tell you.

reply

Seeing prequel and sequel fans fight is like seeing Roland Emmerick and Michael Bay fans fight, it's surreal

reply

That is about as succinct a summation as possible.

Yup.

reply

It's treason then.

reply

👋

reply

At least the Prequels are real Star Wars movies.

reply

what constitutes as a real Star Wars movie?

reply

George Lucas.

reply

I'm not going argue with you, as trying to change someone's mind who grew up with the prequels is pointless. But do you genuinely consider George Lucas to be a good director?

reply

Yes I do. I don't have a problem with the Prequels, in fact I think they are better than the OT. People seem to forget that Lucas directed A New Hope as well.

As I have learned through the years, people don't want anything different than the OT. Which is the reason everyone loves the OT and TFA.

Not sure if you noticed the backlash from TLJ and the Rise of Skywalker, this confirms my theory that people don't want anything different than the OT.

Anyways, sorry for the ramble.

reply

Special Editions.

reply

The OT is still off limits for criticism though. You can still get the original versions on VHS.

Example 1:

If you respect George Lucas and Original Trilogy - Boycott this.

Disney Star Wars is bad fan fiction.

reply

Prequel-fan logic.

reply

Yeah, when I first saw the Jar Jar Binks, it TOTALLY fit how I imagined Darth Vader's origins!

reply

I love your comment

reply

Just blast a bomb and they cheer

reply

I gotta say, I haven't complained as much about Jar Jar since seeing Force Awakens four years ago.

The prequels still aren’t great, but these botched Disney versions have allowed to see that Lucas’s versions had heart, passion, and creativity. They genuinely tried to expand on the franchise with new ideas.

In comparison, the prequels at least try. We can now see that Lucas at least tried. We always accused him of being lazy, but NOW we know what lazy is.

reply

Lucas barely made any effort with the prequels and Abrams and Johnson copied his same low effort approach.

reply

Well, I'm not sure if 'redeemed' is the right word, but they certainly look better in light of today.

If nothing else, they confirm the value of Marcia Lucas as an editor of the OT.

reply

I’d say the sequels are better to watch , the prequels are pretty bad

reply

The prequels suck. But the sequels suck donkey. Fact.

reply

Fact or opinion?

reply

It's a simple yes or no question. Do you like to suck or do you like to suck donkey?

reply

My question was simple is it fact or opinion?

reply

Fact.

reply

Then you will have no issue providing the facts.

reply

Listen, son, when an Ackbar speaks, it's a fact. Deal with it.

reply

Ackbar has spoken!!!! Ackbar Lives

The prequels still suck. They have the worst lines delivered by the worst actors. But at least the story is there. Disney's movies are at least well made, but are totally devoid of imagination. Worst of all is what new storylines set up by TFA are decimated by TLJ. The franchise became FUBAR at that point and I gave up caring.

SAND

Since they freed Solo it was all guilty pleasure.. Just blind F's sucking Solo's cock.
It was a short story trying to expand..................... Rey is the worste Espn Disney character. Cunt, I'll call her. Such a farce.
