Why was it pulled so quickly?

I saw the preview and it looks good but it was in and out of the theater so fast I didn't have a chance to see it
I normally don't see a movie on the first week because of crowds I'm not even sure if it lasted 2 weeks here in Los Angeles I thought they may have pulled it to show Oscar nominated movies then put it back. But no it's gone and not coming back

What gives. Was it that horrible?

This is a really good movie. I rented it from Redbox and was pleasantly surprised. Great dialogue. Lots of story. Interesting characters. I just found out the director did probably my favorite documentary ever Touching the Void.

This, not that crap movie Unbroken, should have been nominated for an Academy Award. Very entertaining. Smart. Interesting.

Wasnt too keen on the ending. However its made my Brits, so I shouldn't expect a very American ending.

Def go check it out!!

Also, Jude Law was really amazing in this role. He really became a working class blue collar character for this film. Through the film there is a very subtle change in him during his commanding of the ship. He was born to play this role. Very well acted. It's an absolute shame this movie wasn't nominated for an Oscar.

I think it was pulled in the States because audiences didn't like the stereotypical token slimy mediocre looking American (Daniels) as the bad guy.

I think the problem, and I could be wrong was that they filmed before the problems with Crimea, Ukraine and Russia so that as they said in the movie only about Georgia, they did not know who to pay, they had already paid Ukraine and suddenly they are a part of Russia. It was a good movie, I saw it and had star power both with Jude Law and two Russian superstars.
