He announced his retirement from the Joker role after 'Arkham City'. He did say something about doing 'The Killing Joke' at that time though...
An opinion is not offensive just because you do not agree with it.
Mark Hamill once said that The Joker is such an iconic character that he has become like Hamlet or Henry V: there is no "right" way to portray him and each performer is free to do his own interpretation.
Hamill is always very complimentary of other voice-actors, for this very reason.
Emerson was okay, love him in Person of Interest but i think i would have preferred Hamill, just personal preference.
