Why batman spits on joker? ( MEGA SPOILER! )

Why batman spits on joker's face? Can someone explain it to me?

reply

He doesn't like him...

reply

Anyone else?

reply

I'm sure he doesn't like other people, too.

Stop spamming man.

And then while joker was burning, he said " stop laughing! "

reply

That is correct.

Its sort of like after everything they have been through over the 20 plus years, its Batmans "way" of finalizing it and saying goodbye, but he knows that when he misses the shot, The Joker is still laughing at him, its all to do with the Batman / Joker mythos, I find it very interesting!

to my eyes, it seems very gruesome scene. The spitting.

reply

It is horrific to spit on a newly fresh corpse but if someone put you through that much pain and caused you to lose loved ones or badly maimed them, I wouldnt be surprised

He nearly killed joker, when he spined joker's head by 45 degrees.

reply

Wouldnt you if you were being repeatedly stabbed

if you watch the first part, it was the moment when he said "you and me both" to two face. joker will always be in his head. forever. joker did not make batman kill him. but very close. and he knew it. and batman did what he should do before almost a thousand of peoples death (including the ones that in fun park).

"all those people i murdered by letting you live"

reply

It's like spitting on someone's grave. It's a mark of disrespect. Showing that you're glad they're dead.

reply

To me, that's beneath Batman. I didn't like that. I much preferred the ending of Batman: Arkham City where Batman is actually sad that the Joker is dead

reply

Yeah, that was pathetic.

reply

because hes a mass murdering psychopath who just got done killing a a fairground full of kids. not to mention his bodycount that is into the thousands and what he did to jason. yea, batman has no reason to spit in his face.

reply

Spitting on someone is guttural, that's trailer trash stuff lol. Batman should be better than that.

reply

These guys are a bit off, let me explain it to you.

After Batman finishes fighting the joker, police commissioner Jindel and the cops find the jokers body. When one of the cops touches the body, it bursts into flames. It was like a self protection trap the joker set on his suit, Batman knew about this, and thus he spit in his face, in stead of kicking him or something.

That is incorrect. Go back to Miller's original, The Dark Knight Returns, Book Four: The Dark Knight Falls. The police are moving in. Batman's internal monologue kicks in:
THE INCENDIARIES...ARE IN PLACE...THE ENEMY...IS SECONDS AWAY...

I WASTE ONE SECOND...WITH A GOOD-BYE...[spits on Joker]
Commissioner Yindel even realizes that Batman rigged the body and says as much.

"You seem familiar with my name, but I don't remember smelling you before."

reply

Ok, 2 things

1. I haven't read the comic book, and as far as I'm concerned, it's not properly explained in the movie.

2. My theory was cooler
