What city should the next GTA game be set in?

We've seen cities modeled after New York, Miami, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

I wonder if Rockstar could make a city modeled after Chicago or Detroit. Maybe even Dallas, Seattle, Philadelphia or something.

Boston, Philadelphia, or Washington DC. Nice mix of modern and colonial structures in Philly and Boston, and I love the DC architecture. DC is also built on a swamp, so you could have swamp lands in surrounding areas to explore.

Please, no southern US cities again (Vegas, anywhere in Florida, New Orleans, etc). We just had that in GTA 5. I want to see a change of seasons rendered instead of just one season: HOT. The midwest winter scenes in GTA 5 were awesome. That's what I want to explore some more. The east coast has hurricanes in the late summer. That'd be fun to drive around in.

I'd love to see one modeled on Chicago. I know Watch_Dogs is set in Chicago, and there are some places that are true to the city, but the surrounding suburbs being in mountainous terrain rather than a plains area really distracts for those who know what Chicago is really like.

Plus no Wrigleyville/Brownstones in WD's Chicago mapping, they missed out on a lot...

I don't know if you're aware of this but I've already changed things. I killed Ben Linus.

I'd love that, being a Canadian, and there are plenty of interesting neighbourhoods to recreate (Jane & Finch, Regent Park, The Beaches, Kensington Market), but I don't think they'll commit to a major release not based on an American city.

They re-did liberty city and Los santos. It's time for Vice City's return. And if it was set in the 80s again I wouldn't mind at all. Maybe have some crazy missions down in Cuba or South America

reply

I wouldn't mind the 80's again, either. I'd really like to see any other time period than the present.

Real life ain't as dope as the movies.

I'd like to see something like San Fierro in the late 1960s or Las Venturas in the 1970s.

And a proper racing circuit in the desert, perhaps with a little nod to Laguna Seca...

I would like to see Chicago to add the cold weather element. Or how about Honolulu? GTA: Island City

Or how about Honolulu? GTA: Island City
It would great if it weren't for that fact that most GTA cities, regardless of which rendition, are already depicted as islands or groups of islands. However, maybe Island City would have a volcano that could be explored and where shootouts and car chases happen.
