NOT a great movie, unfortunately :(

I was expecting a great movie. I am a great fan of Sorkin.

I was expecting one of the best (if not the best) movie of 2015.

I was expecting something around the level of "The Social Network".

This movie is not great.

Very shallow story, basically the whole story was Jobs fighting with
other people, especially his daughter....

So many things to create a movie about Steve Jobs, unfortunately they
chose to emphasize on such a small and pity part of it...

I don't know why this movie was so bad. Maybe it was David Fincher
missing?

I am very disappointed

I enjoyed the first two acts. But everything seemed to wear thin by the third act. It is sadly disappointing.

I agree that the material chosen is dissatisfying. Also, it was not able to fill the repetitive three-act plot structure. But Sorkin is capable of making minor/irrelavant issues arrive at poignant conclusions through banter. That didn't happen in the third act. The much needed crescendo effect couldn't be seen in the third act.

I didn't want to sit through another round of Father-daughter fights with Andy/Joanna's nagging him about Lisa and Mac vs Apple II battles. They seemed pointless by the third act.

There was a shortage of powerhouse actors needed to carry the Sorkinian banter and his nuance.

Honestly, Jess Daniels and Michael FassBender were the only two actors who gave the much needed powerful performances. Kate Winslet's acting was nothing special, with or without the accent issues. Seth Rogen looks the part but he is no Phillip Seymour Hoffman. That role needed an actor of that calibre.

It was *beep* if you have ever read anything about Jobs you will know a lot of this is the Hollywood version, and a lot has been left out or distorted to make it look as if ‘Apple changed the world’ and perpetuated this myth of Jobs genius, which is just that.

Pirates of Silicon Valley is still the best film about the whole Apple saga.

Well what a surprise the female character played by winslet takes over the politically correct version of events and of course is the brains behind the operation and steve jobs in real life only gets the credit because hes a man and everything is about women being oppressed.....yet another politically correct brainwashed washout.....just like hitchcock, just like true grit and endless other political correct drivel spweing out of hollywood

I finally watched this because it was on HBO and I have to agree with you. I had high expectations due to the director and writer and was quite disappointed. I will say that Michael Fassbender was excellent as was Kate Winslet.

I disagree. This is a masterpiece. Brilliant filmmaking - writing, cinematography, pacing, acting - all fantastic. It never stops. Exhilarating from start to finish.
