NOT a great movie, unfortunately :(

I was expecting a great movie. I am a great fan of Sorkin.

I was expecting one of the best (if not the best) movie of 2015.

I was expecting something around the level of "The Social Network".

This movie is not great.

Very shallow story, basically the whole story was Jobs fighting with
other people, especially his daughter....

So many things to create a movie about Steve Jobs, unfortunately they
chose to emphasize on such a small and pity part of it...

I don't know why this movie was so bad. Maybe it was David Fincher
missing?

I am very disappointed

You say you're a fan of Sorkin (or the Social Network apparently) but you completely missed the point of the movie. Happens.

I don't know exactly what you like about Sorkin if you can't understand symbolism, metaphor and second degree but I guess it's your loss.

Also, get educated on what directors do. They have nothing to do with scripts.

Well hold it right there buddy

Good directors MASSIVELY change the scripts in nearly every case

It just doesn't happen with a screenwriter like Sorkin cause he's only going to do a project if they keep the script literally word for word

But that's an exception buddy

Every good director works with the scriptwriter and asks for massive changes, or even hires other scriptwriters to change the material

So nope, totally wrong there dude :)

I agree. It should have been titled Steve Jobs at product launches arguing with people.

Maybe it was David Fincher missing?

he doesn't write his movies and it seems you had a problem with the script

This is my first post at IMDB and I'm here to say that I agree to this. Preferred "Jobs" way better as it provided a better overview and I think Ashton fitted better for the role.

It was a movie that felt very geared towards being a showcase for acting talent. Each of the three over-arcing stories gave you a lot of insight into who the guy was. Just the movie itself never shows you the making of the products and other things you might actually care about a little more. I think that's where the movie fell flat.

And if anyone is interested in a review of the film- https://youtu.be/B1wdJpXJjY4

Trying to go for an informative, and hopefully something people think is funny, youtube channel so hope you guys like. Thanks.

In the minority here, I really enjoyed this movie.

Don't worry, I absolutely adore this film, especially the more I think about it, and know many who loved it too.

Bland. Couldn't wait for it to end.

Hey what if they changed the board meeting scene with Jobs walking in wearing a slick black overcoat and 2 semi-automatics, then he screams "This is MY company!" but all the board members are Chinese assassins and take out they're uzis, there's a huge shootout and Jobs kills every board member. But Sculley is still alive, takes out a bazooka and says: "Not anymore". Then blasts Steve out the window in a big slow-mo crash

Steve survives and comes back after Next

Would you have liked it better that way? A bit more spicy?
