Is it the best movie of 2012?

I haven't seen most of the movies at the Venice film festival this year, but I've seen a great deal of other films which were released.

My favorite films of the year so far are Holy Motors, Amour, The Master and The Hobbit.

Other movies I really enjoyed were Prometheus, Rust and Bone, Moonrise Kingdom, Tabu and On the Road.

I was a bit disappointed with The Dark Knight Rises and Cosmopolis.

My guilty pleasure of the year would be Paradise Love, the Ulrich Seidl movie.

If it isn't the best movie of 2012, it's right up there. It's definitely the most provocative, most surprising, and least formulaic film of the year.

Prometheus? Do you mean "The Master"?

For me, yes. It's definitely the best movie of 2012. And the second best was "Beasts of the Southern Wild".

One who's genuinely sleeping can be awoken, but one who pretends to be sleeping cannot.

This was one of the worst films of 2012, in my opinion. I much preferred Moonrise Kingdom, for example. That was 100x more memorable.
