5 year gap is a lot

reply

Okay bozo, let's take a look back at some examples of successful sequels that had more than a 5 year gap:

7 years between Alien and Aliens.

14 years between the Incredibles 1 and 2

7 years between Terminator 1 and 2

13 years between Avatar 1 and 2

36 years between Top Gun 1 and 2

6 years between Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and 3

11 years between Toy Story 2 and 3

6 years between Deadpool 2 and 3

Wow. That's long time to wait. Disappointing.
Would still like to see this.

Holy sh*t balls!!! Oct 1 2027??? Oh boy that is a long wait, doesn't WB realize that some of us won't make it, some of us will be dead by then...!!!

reply

Eat right, exercise and get plenty of sleep and you might make it.

Good advice, here's hoping!!!👍

What justifies such a long wait for a sequel to a movie that was mostly a mediocrity? Are they spending the extra time to actually write a good script? Yeah, I doubt it.

reply

Pretty sure Pattinson is gonna be filming Nolan’s next movie soon. Not sure how big of a role he has in it.

reply

There's speculations Gunn/WBros is trying to convince Reeves to make Pattinson be the DCU Batman.. (as opposed to The Flash director doing Brave and the Bold)

or that he's trying to kill off Reeves batverse to do his own DCU Batman https://x.com/KnightmareYuvi/status/1872728642796822609

Considering the first one is widely considered the best Batman movie ever made, and among the greatest superhero films of all times, your comment about the film being mediocre is nonsensical. Perhaps YOU didn't like the film, but you're in the clear minority here.

reply

The Batman is "widely considered" to be better than Batman Begins and The Dark Knight? From where are you extracting this information exactly? Your ass?

reply

Honestly this is a bad idea. The film is the 100th remake of batman and it wasn't a bomb but it didnt leave the audience with a lasting impression. I guarantee the majority of the public will have forgotten about the first film when the trailers start rolling. Im having a hard time remembering what the hell happened in the first film myself. The Penguin character was done well but nothing jumps out as memorable.

reply

Same,

reply

Anyone else think it's just not gonna happen at this point? Delay after delay, I can see it fading into obscurity over the next couple years. That would be a shame because I thoroughly enjoyed the first film and the Penguin.

Sounds troubling...
