It’s tough for me to compare as they are very different films.
As far as screenplay goes, I’d say The Batman is better than The Dark Knight. As for directing, I’d give The Dark Knight the edge.
However, Pattison was a better Batman than Bale, though Bale was a better Wayne.
The Dark Knight is one of the most overrated films of all time... but it's still a lot better than The Batman.
