Tired of fans acting like they're 'smarter' than non-fans

I've been reading threads on the show and the movie to try and grasp why people like this and all that I keep hearing is that its "absurd humor" and that is in someway intelligent and you are intelligent if you like it. But from those arguments I've found nothing to support that. Its like people who love watching bad movies and and think that they are great. This is something that is so horrible that its somehow good. Unfortunately, I do not feel this way. There is no intelligent humor, ideas, plot or sense at all to this show. And fans will tell me "that's the point". Well you're not a genius because you enjoy chaotic idiocy, your brain dead. Maybe you like the chaos because your tired of the order of other shows or even the order of society. Well then please, remove yourself from society. Go live on the street or lock yourself in your mothers basement and stop taking the breath away from the relevant people in society like this show is taking away the breath of creative writing and intelligent humor. Whatever joke this show tried to play on is long since dead and it needs to go away.

It's not just fans of Tim and Eric (I'm not a huge fan myself, but I enjoy their work from time to time. But anti-comedy/absurd comedy like this is very much an acquired taste and it's not something I can watch for too long before it can start to get grating)...

A lot of the more hardcore fans and/or blatant "fan-boys" of any show, film, game, artist, band, etc. will act like this. They will get fiercely competitive, condescending, holier-than-thou, and nasty towards anyone who disagrees with them. I've experienced it before many times for daring to disagree or question something, even though I always respectful.

And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?

Your not as smart as you're use of the word your'e would suggest. Oh and you did it in the following sentence too. Unless of course the 'your brain dead' line was spoken by some neanderthal character you created.

You've obviously never watched their show but even if you did you really aren't smart enough to get it. You should keep watching Austin Powers 3 and Joe Dirt and hilarious stuff like that

People watch & enjoy this film for the same reason that several people watch reality TV shows. It is something that is absolutely stupid and easy to unwind to after a long day of work. Viewers can "turn off their brains" so to speak (regarding your mention of being brain dead).

I cannot tolerate reality shows, just as SEVERAL people cannot tolerate stuff like this movie. While I agree with you that there are fans that exaggerated the "intelligent humor", there is actually a hint of said humor throughout the movie.

Mostly, though; this is just an over-the-top, satirical comedy movie that appeals to a very small percentage of viewers. I am included in the percentage.

Haha dude give me a break. It's just a comedy. You are being too much of a pep pep.
Try smoking a joint and watching it, it's much better. I do not smoke anymore, and the humor isn't as funny as it once was, but I still respect their act. There is nobody like Tim and Eric, I don't know if you noticed but a lot of respectful comedians obviously think they are hilarious otherwise they wouldn't be getting them to star on their ridiculous show.

Anyway, your reading too much into it, chill out man. You are stereotyping people in a way that makes you out to sound like a paranoid schizophrenic, like T&E fans are out to get you and take your children away.

I'm curious as to what makes you laugh, because I don't know if you read up on recent comedies, but they are all freaking garbage these days, but hey, some people like these movies, Will Ferell with a black guy oh hey yeah that's never been done, lets get him to have a dick slapped all over his face! Actually yeah that was pretty funny, never mind, your just poon baby. Wah wah wah cry me a flipping river and get out of your dads basement where you wash is poopah laundry yah dingus!
