Here's hoping for some more flicks from Mr. Battles. I came onto IMDB to see what other films he had worked on but was disappointed to find this was his first big project. I haven't read many of the comments on here but seeing as the rating is under a 6, I'm guessing a lot of folks didn't enjoy it as much as I did.
I went into this for Billy Bob, but while I enjoyed his character, the dynamic between the brothers was even better. Was this a cornerstone of modern cinema? No, but it's been a while since I can remember not wanting a movie to end. Thanks Mr. Battles, I had a blast!
Just watched it ondemand. It was very entertaining. I mainly wanted to see it because I'm a HUGE Zoe Bell fan. I wonder if that was really her butt...lol Anyway BO is a fun movie to watch. Definitely will pick up the bluray. I was thinking about importing it since it's available now on bluray in other countries but I will wait for the US bluray release.

Do not expect any further statements. The Sons of Batman do not make speeches. We act.
I really want a sequel. This was so much fun, I agree. I even rated it a 10 because of how much I was entertained. I just liked it that much. I thought Travis Fimmel, Clayne Crawford and Daniel Cudmore were just perfect in this.
This movie was pretty outlandish and rather extravagant at times but was good brain disengaging fun nonetheless. The plot and most of the writing was rather simple as well but tried to compensate for this with unique characters, most notably the brothers & the assassins/trackers. Particularly bizarre to me was the Native American biker gang who arbitrarily took scalps and appeared to have "supernatural" tracking abilities. The final shot of the movie (no spoilers here) really enforced the whole "live-action comic book" feel I had of the movie.
In a way, it reminded me a little of a the movie "Crank" though of a lower-budget and more sobering in regards to its violence (which I agree with another poster, sapped some of the "fun" of the film). I felt like a decent amount was also left on the cutting room floor because there were some obvious questions I had & rushed spots that most screenwriters wouldn't overlook. All in all it was a fun and entertaining film with some great characters & performances but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it or anything.
Well I can't speak for the rest, but mine isn't. I just really enjoyed the flick and wanted to make a thread the director would perhaps see someday to counter the lousy scores it had been getting. Believe me or don't, I've had my say :)
It´s longer ago that i laughed so hearty. Hilarious the three brothers and their hunters. Thank you for a very frolic time with a bunch of absurd scenes!
P.S. I am not a studio plant. In germany you have more rain than studios.
Yeah it was hilarious. 3 white guys with a rebel flag t-shirt on kills first a group of women, then a group of token black guys, and then Indians. But hey they were nice to the(white)handicapped kid so it's all good. Hilarious stuff
I didn't take the film serious at all, but that doesn't make it okay. You can't say ah well it's all in good fun when it's this blatant. But you don't get it. Hopefully one day you will
If the film is so wondefully absurd how come it has a moral? These lovely non racial southern boys does learn something on this road trip. If it's just an absurd movie why is that then?
Nevermind you're right, it's me who doesn't have a sense of humour. Certainly not you who gets off on watching white guys kill minorities. Which bit did you enjoy the most by the way? When they killed the black guys or the Indians? Or maybe you got of on watching them kille the women/whores?
A wannabee activist, on imdb? You're just the saddest little thing. Because you are such a spoiled little selfindulgent brat you don't even know how big of a racist you are. It's just everyone else who's the problem. You think maybe your defending a film cause you didn't notive the flaw yourself, and instead you've been praising the film, and now you feel obligated to contine?
Oh the people on imdb thought it was funny so it was funny in a non-racial way. That's a hell of an arguement. But if that's all you have i can see why you're trying the wannabee activist way
Oh, yeah! Pathetic to answer a question with the same question, raw-woody. You sound like a sore jealous loser who performs the upholder of moral standards. Gute Nacht, wanna-be activist!
Dont know the worse in your small world, raw-woody, and even dont want to know.
Since its almost two months ago, just watched this funny movie again. Totally forgot that the last killing was the Native American who got shot by the black Sheriff. What a bad racist, this black Sheriff!
At least they did not shoot the black Sheriff.....and they did not shoot the Deputy! Hey, this great song may let you chill....if you are able to chill at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVcFg-aOAdU
You started your unreasonable attacks 3 days ago, You should remember the black Sheriff. Watch this funny movie again, it is worth it!!!
raw-woody = raw wood = Roh-Holz = Roholtz
Yeah, go on to pretend in your broken English, raw-woody We could go on in german...would make it easier for both of us.
I rather enjoy this wonderful summer evening than listen to the dirges of a wanna-be activist.
Over and out.

The deleted post right above (edit: below) me in nest-view was neither posted nor deleted by me. Interesting development of this thread. Just learnt a new word: "injuns"

Best part was when they killed the injuns. It's only funny when black people kill each other.
I'm wondering if roholtz could explain to me what exactly is racist about this film. People throw around the word "racist" without having a clue what it means, and while I'm not suggesting roholtz doesn't know the meaning of the word, I am suggesting that I can't find a single racist moment in the film, and I've seen it six times. There is plenty of bad taste and over-the-top violence, but where exactly is the racism? .
Dude a year and a half later you want me to pick up a discussion of some silly Little film. Even though i barely remember the film or discussion i think it was something about a Group of White in Southern flagged shirts killing minorities. Indians, Black, even women gets killed by the awesome White Guys.
But we're not having a discussion about it. You're a year and a half to late for that.
And that's what makes it racist? That white guys, under the direction of a black sheriff, manage to kill a variety of people, including gangs of white women, blacks and Native Americans?
It's good to see that the misapprehension of racism isn't restricted to political threads.
As for "You're a year and a half to late for that," maybe you should attach an acceptable timeline for replies to your comments. Even though you were equally incorrect when you posted it as you are today, you can at least establish a deadline after which you will feel no obligation to defend your remarks. Because no one else ever faces that issue with comments about films on IMDb.
An acceptable timeline. Shouldn't you know that after a year and a half it might be difficult to remember the movie exactly and following discusiion? No, yes, maybe? And seeing that we've already had this discussion you could just read the comments that are already there. Pretty sure i've explained myself already. But no like a good Little troll, desperate to defend his piece of *beep* emi racist favorite movie, you have to write to me. You're a dick! *beep* read the comments first before bothering people you idiot.
No, actually you didn't. I still have no idea why you think it's racist. None of your comments so far makes the least bit of sense as a justification for labeling the film racist. And you clearly don't want to get into it for fear that your answer will continue to be insufficient. So you say, " Shouldn't you know that after a year and a half it might be difficult to remember the movie exactly" but you nonetheless recall that the film is racist in your opinion. You don't remember why it's racist; it's just imprinted on your mind that racism was the issue.
Oh for Christ sake. You don't understand that i wrote those comments right after watching the film, and now 2 *beep* years later i might have forgotten the details of it? Really, you don't understand that? Wow, just wow. It's not exactly the most memorable film ever made. I do remember it being a bunch of white guys killing minorities. Southern flag and everything, how's that.
The truth is it wouldn't matter what i'd say, you'd dismiss no matter what. So why are you continuing? Are you that butthurt that somebody sees this movie different then you. That is so *beep* sad. You desperately need to go get laid.
Now you've revealed your superficial understanding of racism, thank you. "A bunch of white guys killing minorities." Of course, you ignore the part about being attacked by the gangs of minorities, and killing them in fights they didn't start, but that doesn't matter. These guys are racists because they're white and the other killers are blacks and women. God, I'd hate to sit near you during a Tarantino film.
Just curious: Is it possible for you to have a more adolescent understanding of racism?
The movie is superficial you *beep* imbecil. And for the love of god read your own comment, cause you just sounded like a racist yourself. But like i've said earlier i barely remember the *beep* movie anymore, so let it the *beep* go. I mean how much do you have to love a movie that you just can have anybody say anything bad about it. So over a year later you have to write to them and start an argument. That is so *beep* sad. Just move the *beep* on. Don't you have like a kkk meeting or something to go do?
Saying you don't like it is fine. Labeling it as something it's not deserves rebuke. A Latina calls up a trio of white rednecks to retrieve a wheelchair-bound teenager with a trust fund from the clutches of a manipulative white miscreant. After the boy has been retrieved, the white miscreant enlists a mixed gang of biker girls -- white, Latina, Asian -- to attack the rednecks to get the kid back, but the women fail. So the same white reprobate calls up a group of African Americans to attack the white trio, and they fail too. Lastly, the white villain engages a Native American gang to attack the rednecks, and they battle to a near standstill, but the trio survives and the kid is safe.
The only imbecile here is you, pal, for labeling that racism. Do you even understand what the word means?
No i don't understand the Word. I'm all one flew over. Me all stupid and like. Maybe you ought to read your own comment out loud and put some thoughts into it, cause it's right there. All these specific groups getting killed by the White boys. That's actually how simple it is. But i guess if you're 13 year old White boy from the suburbs, it's totally cool watching them whities kill off all these minorities like Groups f people. It's so awesome i ejaculate regularly too it.
This must be like your all time favourite movie. Are you the guy who made it? cause otherwise i don't understand you defending it as if your life depends on it. Just because you're so blind and stupid you don't see the racism it bothers you so much, it's as if i'm Alling you a racist. You're not though. Just an idiot. A blind stupid sheep, that's all you are, and unfortunately that's all you'll ever be. So enjoy your redneck movies and have a great redneck life.
Your stupidity clearly knows no bounds. When asked to explain your indictment, you retreat into the blissful ignorance of not remembering the film, yet you have the arrogance to suggest there is certainty in your vague recollections. You have a cartoon understanding of racism, and your spelling and grammar are almost as atrocious as your idiot projections.
People like you prove the complete dumbing down of society.
Grammar nazi. That's always a good sign when someone turns to grammar. That's when you know a person doesn't have anything to say. They're done, out of arguments so they turn to grammar. English is not my first language. Not even my second. See there's a reason why it's called the World wide web you know. We can do this in my language if you'd like, and let's see how you do. Do they teach you other languages out there in mullett country?
And is there is certainty in my recollecting cause when i wrote my first comment on the film, it was right after having the film. But know two years my recollection of the film is a little vague. I find it amazing you don't understand that. Maybe we should continue this conversation two years from now when. It's not exacgtly the most memorable film ever made. Hell the only thing i remember about it right now is that Billy Bob Thornton was in it. That's about it. But good on ya for making that an argument in itself.
This movie is not meant to be racist. LMAO This is parody of stereotypes and nothing more. None of the characters are believable..pretty outrageous and far fetched. The intention was not to offend people, but I guess there will always be a whiner somewhere.
It seems to be extremely difficult to see a movie these days and have 'just plain fun.' I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and so has everybody I showed it to. Had some requests for this film as a Christmas present. And even though the characters were sweaty, greasy, rednecks as stated by a user, they weren't ugly or fat which was huge to have the brothers still be attractive. They weren't walking around all in love, or crying all the time, or kissing other dudes (not that there's anything wrong with that). Those elements are fine but I personally don't want to see that all the time. Yep, 'just plain fun.'
