How about they never went in the first place

They did go to the moon. The problem is NASA made a fake film showing astronauts on the moon. They would use this film if they weren't successful in a timely manner. The attempt with Apollo 11 was a success however, so the fake video was never needed. Not sure if it was found or not. Msybe, which is why there are so many skeptics about NASA sending astronauts to the moon.

From what i understand, it costs around 20.000$ for each kilo of weight to sent into space.
And considering that the US is months away from bankruptcy, they don't have enough
money to send more people into space unless its absolutely needed.
And for those of you who would disagree that the US is close to bankruptcy,
you should know that about 1 year ago, Obama approached the senate & kongress to
raise the roof of their dept. The combined interest of their dept now exceeds
the total GNP of the US which means they don't have enough money per year to
pay of the interest of their depts.
It is my understanding that Moon Landing was fake and we actually NEVER went to the Moon :-)
Show me the holes!
The landings were more political in nature. They became very expensive in nature.

"I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important for the long-range exploration of space."They achieved their goal and then some, so why keep going back?
