And imo, Children of Men is a much better film, Civil War has its moments but in the end is lazily plucking at low hanging fruit.

shareI was originally thinking maybe the red glasses were meant to symbolize evil, the way demons and monsters are often given red eyes, but then I started thinking about the political leaning of the film and it got me thinking that maybe it’s Garland taking a jab at Trump.
Maybe it’s something, maybe it’s nothing, but I enjoy searching films for symbolic references, like the X’s in The Departed, or the oranges in The GodFather.
