Are there any Hetro's here

Just curious..if all of the responses here are just from gays. As far as performances...I have to say that all were excellent, but there were at least 3 that stood out just above that as I watched on DVD. First Julia Roberts, she was outstanding in that one scene where she is blasting the doctor in the audience. For that scene she deserved an oscar more so than for Erin Brockovich, but being that this is an HBO TV movie, she wont get one. Joe Mantello, at the beginning for his tirade monologue, and of course for Mark Buffalo. Did any of them get an Ememy or is it too early for that? As for Julia's character..was she supposedly playing that foreign doctor that I seem to recall during that time? She and another male doctor were always on TV talking about it and being interviewed by all the networks. BTW, the male doctor had passed away a couple of years ago, as I recall..in fact she must have too..Don't see or hear of her anymore..all in all a well done Movie.

Julia Roberts, she was outstanding

Loved her work in the film. Not only brave, but nuanced as well as courageous. Wish she'd do more like this. And I bet she would, too.

Religion is like a rocking chair -- a lot of work to get nowhere.

I totally flaked on the Emmys this year, but you may look them up. They come out in autumn, so this film made the cut. There is still the Golden Globes and Sag for it in Februrary as well. It is definitely deserving of big wins. And yes, I am a hetero female. Everyone actor held their own in this, and then some. I commented on this board a lot when TNH originally came out. Unfortunately, I lost my longtime account, so all my older posts on this board are deleted.

I'm Hetro. I enjoyed the movie. I'm not really a fan of Julia Roberts, but she did play this role well.

I'm also heterosexual. Films aren't for any one group of people. Homosexuals watch heterosexual characters too.

I'm a hetero. Sorry but I don't understand why is this even a question. I and many many people watch movies for the art it represents and not because we need the characters to be like us in sexual their orientation, race, gender etc....
