Most people hate this movie, yet they love Ana de Armas' performance.

It is without a doubt one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. She is MM.

The movie followed the book and the director did an excellent job but there’s little love and you kind of feel empty. The book was also written 20 years ago. So maybe doing the book was the problem. And, although her photos transcend time, she herself was from another time. One in which most people of today can’t comprehend. Technically, she was born almost 100 years ago.

It's a good performance in a pretty great film. She wasn't great, and a better actress could have made the movie even better, but she certainly looked the part and wasn't terrible. Her accent did come out at times, which was distracting, and she just doesn't have the build or the charisma/magnetism of Monroe despite her beauty and similar facial structure, but she did a fine job.
