shareReddit is one possibility. I can't say I wouldn't prefer a message board where those of us that use avatars can continue the practice, but...as long as most (hopefully ALL) of us can communicate with one another and then share our opinions on the film after watching it, i'll be content.

I'm looking at reddit atm but i'm not familiar with their format. Does anyone know it better and how it works? A subreddit for TDT imdb users could be a decent temporary place for us orphans.
Reddit is fairly easy to use. It wouldn't be the worst place for us IMDBers to set up a "shantytown" until somewhere more permanent...more colorful...makes itself known.

I have no idea where we should all move to either, but I also hope that this isn't the last I see of the people on this list (and a few others who might've been forgotten). As frustrating as it could be at times, I'm gonna miss this place.

I would consider a closed FB group as a temporary way station given the short period of time we've been allocated. A bit less anonymity, but tweaking privacy settings is an option. And it would depend on admin of course.

I'll miss this place, sometimes things got crazy, but nothing like the stuff I saw on Twitter, and thats where they want us to go...way to undervalue your audience, Twitter is no replacement for a proper forums with links to all the titles.
Rarely did we agree Wesker, but you usually raised some good points.

First of all, no good news to wake up to. I've been lurking and writing on IMDB since I was old enough to use a computer. Alas, the world seems to be moving on even here in the Keystone world, and I must admit that I've read some shít on IMDB that have absolutely no place on a movie message board. I'm looking at this particular board too when I say this.
Having said that, thank you Captain Wesker for starting this thread! I haven't been contributing much lately due to a busy personal life, but I've been reading along and would hate to fall out of touch with you and all of the people you've listed. That would be pretty goddamn horrific before the movie is even released and possibly 1 day after the trailer comes out! I think we've built a nice little community here despite the many trolls, haters and racists flooding this board.
Unfortunately, I don't think too highly of facebook and have thankfully eliminated my account some time ago. But how hard is it to create a forum for Dark Tower fans from scratch anyway, where people could use the same avatars? Just in case, I will clarify this with a friend of mine who is extremely well-versed in that technical kind of internet stuff. I would also offer to help in any way I could if someone else has an idea. This has to happen fast if they are serious about the February 20th deadline.
I've been toying with the following idea too, maybe as a complimentary thing to wherever we migrate in the end. I know this is a bit on the personal side, but why not bring our ka-tet a little closer together. Most people have a smartphone these days, so I would offer to create a whatsapp group for those who are interested. I think it's a good way to share pictures and thoughts about the movie. Anyone who is interested can PM me their phone number and I will get this thing going, you can trust me to handle it discreetly. As a complimentary thing to whatever solution we come up with. Who is interested?
