Lindsey Shaw. I think she's much better. Shay isn't totally terrible or anything, in fact there are a couple of moments where I thought she actually did really good, like when she found our Maya was dead. However, I think Lindsey is more consistent.

Lindsey Shaw. She brings more life into the character with the limited time that she gets than Shay does and she is one of the main characters. Shay has her moments but then frequently falls short while Lindsey is incredibly consistent.

Also, when she becomes bad she becomes really bad. Like when she is surprised or shocked she has a tendency to either do a "deer in headlights" or make her jaw drop so low that it looks like she's planning to bite someone's head off. With some of her other antics I've sort of accepted them as a part of Emily's character. She is a lot more physical than the other liars which is one thing she does very well and I think that's why they give her so many action scenes.
shareMost definitely agree. I never thought Shay was as bad as some of the other people that have been on the show. I think she should always be paired with someone who is stronger than her acting wise because she does a lot better. When she's with someone who's weaker...it doesn't come off well. With exception of Keegan, her scenes with Keegan are enjoyable, at least to me and I'm sad they haven't paid as much attention to their friendship.
She does tend to do the more physical things but her shocked faces have always been terrible.

I think people are too harsh on Shay Mitchell sometimes, but I have to agree that Lindsey is a better actress. I think she is easily in PLL's top 5.

Definitely Shaw. Shay is just good to look at but doesn't tend to bring anything new to the table acting wise. That deer-in-headlights-with-mouth-open look I find really annoying 😒
