Most overrated sci-fi movie of ALL TIME?

I think so. Not even worth watching a second time.

reply

i tend to agree. i won't watch it again. i just watched stowaway which reminded me of gravity.

reply

Stowaway was even worse. Pointless movie.

reply

More of a comedy really. So much space junk wizzing around up there it's like space is smaller than Rhode Island.

reply

This is a real problem, because junk stays in our orbit. It doesn't just fly away.

reply

You must have not watched in 3d.

reply

I'm actually downloading it in 3D now to watch on my VR headset. Let's see if it improves things.

reply

Could be nice!

reply

No, because it was never highly rated.

reply

Yeah, it only had 10 nominations and 7 wins at the Oscars. Moron.

reply

Putting you on ignore. Thanks for playing.

P.S. The biggest "morons" ever are the ones who use the word, "overrated." This is the go-to phrase for people too lazy and stupid to explain why they didn't like something:

In other words, "Could explain in 100 words why I didn't like Gravity; I'm just going to be a lazy moron, type that the movie is overrated and then argue with everyone why they were wrong for liking the movie."

reply

Lmao someone's triggered. I know you'll be reading this you little dweeb. You were wrong, it was most definitely highly rated hence the most Academy Award wins that year and countless other accolades. Posting links about the word 'overrated' won't distract from that fact. Pathetic dweeb.

reply

The only thing worth remembering was how the Clooney-let-go scene defied all laws of physics.

reply

It didn't, though.

"If we imagine the parachute cords are a rubber band".. were they? If they were then yes, Ryan was decelerating and it makes sense. Otherwise, if they were solid, then no.

TBH I don't care anymore :)

reply

Terrible film, not worth watching even once.

reply

Gravity isn't a sci-fi film. All of the technology is real, the location is reachable, and the event that drives the plot is feasible. There isn't a single science fiction element to be found in the film. It is simply a survival thriller set in space.

And it isn't overrated.

reply

There are plenty of scientific elements in this movie which wouldn't happen in real life, so yes, this movie is firmly in the science-fiction realm.

reply

It would have been fun watching in 3D sitting in a D-Box moving chair.

reply

I saw this movie on a 3D IMAX screen and it was stunning. I felt like I was floating in space.
